There really hasn't been any progress on the writing of Reese and Jace's story -- Let Me Be Your Prince -- I'm still excited about it but real-life seems to be interfering with my focus. So today I'll share the my cross-stitching works-in-progress.
- First up is Ian's stocking. I have to get this finished in time for Santa to fill it for Christmas. Thankfully, I'm almost done with the stitching.
- Second up is a Christmas Angel -- The First Angel of Light -- by Lavender & Lace Victorian Designs.
Creatively speaking, the Lavender & Lace designs are more fun and challenging. I love working with the linen verses the aida. There are a whole series of angel designs I want to complete. Once upon a time I thought I'd have an angel in every room of my house, LOL

Sherri, I didn't realize you were so creative with a needle.
Like cooking, needlework is on my list of things I DON'T do well.
But this brought back memories. My mother used to gather all of us girls and we'd go into a specialty shop that sold nothing but linens, patterns and embroidery thread. I remember how happy it made her to teach us how to do needlework.
Sadly, I was her dunce pupil. LOL! But at least my sisters were better at it.
Aww...but you have other talents Maria. I don't have the guts to try refinishing furniture yet I've seen some of your stunning work.
I was the girly-girl growing up, LOL, playing with dolls, knitting, cross-stitching/needlepoint, etc. while my sister was out play softball and powder-puff football!
