Yesterday

Yesterday we went to the late service at church for little presentation by the preschoolers. They sang "The Appleseed Prayer," "Clap Your Hands," and "When I Get To Heaven."



It was different going to Sunday school before church LOL

Before Sunday school started all the kids were able to play in the preschool yard. Robbie as is his custom gravitated to the tricycles. He just rides around and around the playground.









Ian usually does a little of everything. Riding the tricycles and playing with the big kids. It's almost as though he hasn't found his niche yet.











Alex and Cam played a bit of football. If you can call three on three football LOL

B.I.B.L.E.

A father was approached by his small son who told him proudly, "I know what the Bible means!"

His father smiled and replied, "What do you mean, you 'know' what the Bible means?"

The son replied, "I do know!"

"Okay," said his father. "What does the Bible mean?"

"That's easy, Daddy..." the young boy replied excitedly, " It stands for 'Basic Information Before Leaving Earth.' "

Celebrating...

Grandparents Day at school.


Today we went over to Ian's class for a little celebration of Grandparents day...only one actual grandparent was there. We miss being close enough to the grandparents that they can join these kinds of things at school.





Mark got off from work a bit early so he could be there. He got to meet Ian's teacher for the first time and see the classroom.











We had a special grandparent story.














Wednesdays are chapel days so we went to chapel. We had a short bible study. Pastor used sand to talk about God breathing life into Adam.







Robbie was completely into the whole lining up and sitting quietly...

until the singing started LOL The music was too loud at first so Robbie came running to me then sat with Dad the rest of chapel.






Happy Grandparents Day...we know you were with us in spirit.

MIA...again

I guess when you get caught in the same o' same o' of day to day living you don't blog...well I don't apparently.

I finished school shopping yesterday. Cam's list was so stinkin' long and included things like dry erase markers that I just know I was buying more teacher supplies than student! None of the lists are complete nor will they be. Between Cam, Alex, Ian, a few household supplies, and a few groceries I spent just under $200 yesterday at Wal-mart! Still need to get new shoes for Cam and Alex as the ones we bought during Spring Break are falling apart. As crazy as it seems to spend money on name brands, of the four pairs of shoes I bought while we were in Oregon only Ian's Nikes have held up. Thankfully, none of the boys need much in the way of school clothing.

Talked to the pastor today about getting Ian and Robbie Baptised. With us in kinda church hoping mode when they were born it never got done. Mark and I need to meet with the pastor to go over details and will hopefully do that this week. So Aunt Julie, at the very least, needs to let us know when she has vacation!

Swimming lessons are done. Cam will move up to Level 4 next session...probably the spring as they don't use the outdoor pool in the fall/winter. Alex was passed to move on to Level 4 but I'll have him repeat Level 3 to perfect his skills. Ian and Robbie will take a lesson this fall...Ian in Level 1 and Robbie in another Parent N Me class. I'm really impressed with the improvements I saw in Alex and Ian! Alex who wouldn't even get in the pool two years ago for lessons was able to go straight into Level 2. Ian who was afraid when he couldn't touch bottom was able to sink to the bottom of the pool and spring up to break the surface without fear.

Cam has elected not to play soccer but wants to take golf so I'll be seeing if I can get him in lessons this fall.

Alex hopes to play soccer. We need to go to player ranking tomorrow and see about getting him completely signed up.

Well, Mark is trying to get us all out of the house for something so I'll try and post again soon!

A little this and that to catch up

Robbie had his first haircut the day we left for Spring Break...just getting around to posting the pictures.




He has such fine hair that it get tangled really easy and he always looks like he's got a serious case of bed-head LOL



















He sat real quite and was a perfect little man. Still looks like he has bed-head more often than not LOL



Our church had a "Family Fair" day on May 3rd. I had volunteered some baked goods for the "Cake Walk" so the boys and I went over just before the fair opened to deliver the food. We ended up staying for a little over an hour playing then had lunch and ice cream before heading home so Robbie could take a nap.



The older boys enjoyed the big slide the most. It was hard to pull Ian away!






The big slide was more than Robbie cared to tackle and he preferred to spend his time on the play structure in the Preschool area.
