I did end up presenting my internet findings of bear attacks to my dad. Although I believe he was amused that I actually researched the topic to find out the likely hood of being attacked by a bear. I do not believe I was successful in persuading him to in the future let me go on walks with friends or by myself. But, oh well I tried and I learned something to say the least!
