Monthly reading goals:
- 1 new-to-me author each month -- Nicky Charles
- 4 genres/sub-genres each month (I'm adding to that at least one book a month must be non-fiction and/or writing related.) -- Mystery (To the Nines (Stephanie Plum)
by Janet Evanovich), Paranormal Romance (Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs (Jane Jameson)
by Molly Harper), Romantic Suspense (Kill for Me
by Karen Rose), and lots more of the same so I didn't make the 4 and/or the non-fiction, oh well.
- Alternate male and female authors (I will say at least one male author per month.) -- yeah, didn't get this covered either
- Write a note to 1 author each month -- not yet

This is a fabulous reading schedule! A few years back I started keeping track of the number of books I read in each genre and the ratio of male to female authors. Looking at the totals at the end of each year is always interesting and helps me figure out what areas in my reading I need to strengthen.
Thanks. Knowing where I need to grow in my reading is why I started this challenge despite tracking my reading for a few years now. While I got a lot of reading done in March I was caught up in just the few genres/sub-genres listed.
