Our 4th

We ended up spending a quiet day at home. We barbecued up some burgers for dinner. I made up Mom's Green Jello Salad because a 4th of July barbecue without it would be plain wrong. We lit up the outside fireplace and the boys made s'mores for dessert. Then it was fireworks time. The boys played with sparklers -- Cam and Alex having a Harry Potter style "wand" fight -- and tried to write their names in the air and in the sand. Mark set-off the larger works for a short show. Afterwards, we hopped in the van and drove around catching some of the other shows going on.
