My only thumb sucker of the four is no more.
Robbie managed to chap his poor thumb (he only ever used his right one) soon after we returned from Oregon. It got really bad, peeling skin to the point of sometimes bleeding, and we did all the usual treatments for such a bad case of chapped thumb. The biggest by far was telling Robbie he needed to stop sucking on it to make it better.
Well, it took a few weeks to completely heal. And Robbie was hard pressed in the beginning to keep it out of his mouth. But I noticed this week, he's no longer sucking on it, even when he's exhausted and would normally do so.
Boo Hoo...my last baby isn't a baby any more. (I can't even tell you the level of pride and pain that goes along with that statement.) Well, still working on getting him out of diapers. But now that the thumb hurtle is done, how far behind can that really be?

Congratulations, Robbie;
I'm sorry it took a sore thumb to make it happen, but it really does show that you are growing up.
And what a beautiful smile in your picture.
We miss you.
Love,
Grandma & Grandpa.
